Where:Arroyo Vista Playground
Time:A.M. Kindergarten, 11:35 a.m.
P.M. Kindergarten, 10:35 a.m.
Anyone can participate! The event will last fifteen minutes. ** Our Goal is to make this event our ONE BIG fundraiser! Your child can walk or run the course as many times as he or she likes. Breaks can be taken as often as needed. We’ll have water on hand. If your child doesn’t want to participate, he/she can still help by collecting donations on the pledge sheet. All we ask is that he/she complete one lap by walking if possible.

BEFORE THE EVENT. PLEASE SEE BELOW. ***
Please wear comfortable shoes, a hat, and sunscreen. Kids from the morning kindergarten classes should be promptly picked up at 11:30 and supervised during the jog-a-thon. Afternoon kindergarteners will be supervised by their teachers .
Medals will be given to the top three lap winners in each grade.
For every 10 sponsors your child signs up, he/she will be earn a participation prize.
Please fill out and return the permission slip to your child’s teacher no later than

My child is physically fit to participate in the Arroyo Vista Jog-a-thon. While he/she participates in the Jog-a-thon, I assume all risk, consequences, and potential liability. The undersigned hereby releases and holds harmless the organizers of the Jog-a-thon, the Arroyo Vista PTA, the South Pasadena Unified School District or any of its employees, agents, volunteers, or any other person, firm or corporation charged or chargeable with responsibility or liability from any and all claims by reason or accident, illness, injury or death or other consequences arising or resulting from participating in the Arroyo Vista Jog-a-thon.

Team AV members will have a chance to raise money for all PTA supported programs by participating in the Jog-a-thon. On Friday, October 24, AV students will walk or run around the school playground as many times as they can in fifteen minutes. The money raised from this event will be used to fund our AV PTA supported such as: additional hours for our librarian, our computer lab instructor, Homework Helpers, Arts Parents, Assemblies, Science Fair, Art Fair and much, much more! This is a great and very direct way to help Team AV be the best it can be!
Tuesday, September 30 Permission slips and sponsor sheets go out.
Thursday, October 9 Participation prizes will be handed out for
every 10 sponsors. Please bring pledge forms to the lunch tables between 8:00 – 8:10 to get your prize. Kindergarteners can show their teachers their pledge sheets and they will be given the prizes in their classroom.

11:30 – A.M. Participants will be given their tally cards and the jog-a-thon starts
11:50 – Jog-a-thon ends. AM kids can be taken home then.
** Our goal is to have every participant gather at least $50.00 in sponsors. WE CAN DO IT!
